WPS editing

Unsaved files after WPS editing can be retrieved in two ways, one is through the File Backup Center and the other is through the historical version.

The first way is to use File Backup Center. First, click on the File menu and find the Backup & Restore option, click on it and four options will appear, the first of which is the Backup Center. The first time you run the Backup Center it may be slightly slow as it needs to load data. In the Backup Center, you can see the most recently used documents and when they were backed up. Click on a document to open it.

The second way is to use the historical version. Again, click on the File menu, find the Backup & Restore option, merge pdf rearrange pages and then at the bottom of the sub-level menu you can see Historical Versions. In Historical Versions, you can see the content of different versions of the document, and click on any of them to restore the content showing that version.

In addition to retrieving unsaved documents, you can also set local backup or cloud save backup.

For cloud manual or automatic backup settings, first click the File menu, find the Backup & Recovery option, and then click Backup Center again. In the Backup Center, there is an option for Manual Backup and an option for Cloud Sync of documents, you can turn them on and set them up on your phone or computer.

For the WPS Auto Backup Local Computer setting, you also first click on the File menu, find the Backup & Recovery option, and then click on the Backup Center. You can find Local Backup Settings at the top right of the Backup Center. After clicking Local Backup Settings, the Local Backup Configuration dialog box will pop up. Here you can choose Timed Backup, which means the system will automatically backup your WPS documents to the location of your choice at the time interval you set, instead of cloud backup. It is recommended to select 3-10 minutes as the interval for timed backup.

Computers run many processes at the same time during use, and automatically saving every minute may not be very friendly to computers with lower configurations, which may lead to lagging and errors. Therefore, it is not recommended to choose 1 minute as the time interval for timed backup.

Finally, you need to set the disk location where the local backup is stored. Choose an infrequently used disk letter, such as F drive. Try to avoid using the system disk, C disk, because there may be some system files in C disk. After setting the time and disk location for local backup, just close the dialog box to finish the setting.
