In distinction to the majority of aerosols (which will be discussed further), non-aerosol products typically contain a higher percentage of water and a lower concentration of alcohol compared to aerosols.

A hazard associated with aerosol containers lies in their formulation, which may incorporate potentially detrimental preservatives.
